Updated rpmdrake package fixes usability bugs
Publication date: 27 Mar 2015Modification date: 27 Mar 2015
Type: bugfix
Affected Mageia releases : 4
Description
Mageia's graphical frontends for software installation (drakrpm) and update (drakrpm-update) have a feature to let the user handle new config files on updates using a friendly graphical user interface. Before rpmdrake 6.10.4, this feature did not filter out critical configuration files such as /etc/fstab or /etc/shadow, and a misguided user could have reset those files during an upgrade of their setup package (mga#14266). rpmdrake before 6.10.5 was also omitting to restart itself after priority updates (such as updates of rpmdrake or urpmi). This update fixes it, however the fix will only be effective after a restart of rpmdrake, hence an update warning will be displayed to ask users to do so.
